NSS is a cooperation network of electrical safety authorities in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland. The goal of NSS is to identify important and common issues in electrical safety in the Nordic countries.
The aim is to introduce measures that can prevent electrical fires, electrical accidents and other damages that may arise out of dangerous electrical products. It also seeks to anticipate errors in handling electrical equipment, unsafe electrical installations or errors in the use of electricity.
To achieve these objectives, NSS has working groups dealing with specific electrical safety issues, harmonization of regulations, standards and international requirements, coordination and compliance with international requirements, mutual exchange of experience and information.
